Meet Dr Dan, founder of Tidal Health and a surfer whose passion for helping people extends far beyond the waves. As an International Classifier for the Para Surfing Association, Dan combines his love for surfing with his commitment to making a difference in people's lives.
At just 19 years old, Dan noticed a concerning trend within the elderly community - a rise in injuries due to poor guidance in gym settings. He soon took proactive steps by launching a group class, which quickly became popular. However, as participants encountered escalating gym fees, they returned to independent workouts, resulting in a noticeable increase in injuries.
Dan's commitment to addressing these challenges led him to pursue extensive education, a Bachelor of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma of Exercise Science from Griffith University, and a Doctor of Physiotherapy from Bond University.
As a physiotherapist and exercise physiologist, Dan's expertise lies in the intricate connection between the brain and body. He specialises in various areas, including mental health, neurological and brain injuries, neurodevelopment disorders, psychiatric disorders, concussion, vestibular disorders, chronic pain, and general musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

Physiotherapist/ Exercise Scientist/ Certified Clinical Pilates Instructor
Meet Dr Vic. Victoria is a Doctor of Physiotherapy with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Movement Science. She is an ex NCAA collegiate athlete in volleyball from Penn State University. Originally from the USA, Victoria has a plethora of clinical experience not only with athletic populations, but also with pre/post-surgical rehab, COVID-19 and the ICU.
During her time in Australia, she has developed her clinical experience working in rugby and Australian rules football (AFL). She has experience working with Perth's Super Rugby Pacific Team - The Western Force, as well as Bond University Rugby Union Club, Ballina Bombers AFL and the World Surf League (WSL) Gold Coast Pro as a Bond University representative.
Victoria's philosophy around physiotherapy is strongly around helping others improve their quality of life through functional training and building resilience throughout everyday life.
Her role as a clinician is to look at the FULL picture for us as humans, not just the symptoms or injuries that may present themselves. Her core values align with any individual taking the initiative to improve their overall health.
Exercise Physiologist/ Certified Clinical Pilates Instructor
Meet Alex. Alex enthusiastically works with clients to help manage pain, balance and mobility. As a clinical exercise physiologist and a certified clinical pilates instructor, Alex can assist with traumatic brain injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, acute and chronic neurological disorders.
A previous junior world competitor for amateur golf and currently playing off scratch, Alex is available to assist with golf specific strength and conditioning and indeed preventative injuries both on and off the golf course. He has great knowledge about the fundamentals of the golf swing and mobility drills after just spending the last month caddying on the Asian tour and at the AUSPGA.
Recently graduating from university Alex has developed his knowledge of exercise prescription from his placements conducted on the Gold Coast and Devonport, Tasmania. Alex was introduced to and worked with many different injuries and conditions some of these being lower limb musculoskeletal tears, rotator cuff rehab, spinal injuries, MS and Parkinson’s to name a few.
